Nothing is uploaded. Your browser reads the files right here on your computer, identifies each one by fingerprint, and boils it down to a 2 KB list of numbers describing how it sounds. Only those numbers and the artist / title / album text are sent. The site has no way to receive audio at all.

Leave the tab open. Other tabs are fine; closing this one stops the scan.
Pick up where you left off. Finished tracks are kept and skipped next time — in any browser.
Wrong folder? Non-audio files are ignored, and there's a Stop button.
